...Yet for the two and half years prior to us meeting, I had given up on relationships.

In March 2016, I drew a huge line in the sand.  I said, “I’m done!  If I can’t have the relationship of my dreams, the relationship I KNOW is possible, I’m never doing this again.”

It’s not that the relationships I’d had were “bad” - but they were definitely way less than I desired.

They were mediocre.  Monotonous.  Lacking in depth.  Lacking emotional intimacy.  Void of the true depth of connection I desired.

I was so fed up with having less than I desired in relationships, so I completely stopped.

And for the first time in my life, I whole-heartedly gave myself the attention I desired in relationship.

And that changed everything.

My History of Dating & Relationships

I’d never really dated much.  I was the type that went all in on a relationship and since age 19, I’d had several committed relationships (3 years, 3 years, 8 years).

The 8 year relationship ended in 2012.  I was 33 and for the first time in my life, I started doing the dating thing.

It was weird.  Uncomfortable.  Foreign.  Awkward.

I had no idea what I was doing.  Online dating was a lot of judging books by their covers.

Sometime in 2013, I started evolving an idea about dating differently.

About dating FOR ME.  Versus dating to “find someone.”

This idea was revolutionary for me.

It was all about going on dates with the intention of discovering more about me and what I actually wanted in a relationship.

I called it The Single Experiment: Dating for Self-Discovery.

And it was a JOURNEY, for sure!

I dabbled in my personal single experiment and in May of 2014, I found myself getting involved in another relationship.

We became “exclusive” in July.  We broke up in February.

Five months went by with no contact.  Then we started spending time together again.

By November 2015 we were pretty involved again, but there was a lot that wasn’t being spoken, talked about, shared, or agreed to.

It felt super sticky.  YUCKY.  Challenging.

I’d never experienced anything like this and it was a huge opportunity for learning…and learn I did.

The entire experience in that relationship really f*cked with me.  And caused me to grow immensely.  It was a trigger for massive transformation and THE trigger for the line I drew in the sand…  

When I really woke up to what I was allowing in that relationship, I was DONE.  

It was March 23, 2016.  It was one of the most pivotal days of my life. 

Because for the first time, I CHOSE ME FOR ME.

I chose me over a man (or anyone else!).

And that has made all the difference.

In choosing me, I actually chose the love I desired and deserved.

With choosing me, I recommitted even more deeply to my single experiment and massive changes occurred in my life - all for the better.

I learned so much along the way: about me, about other people, about my patterns in relationships, and about what actually mattered to me at the core of all relationships.

I was blown away and massively transformed in the process.

The growth I experienced during the following months launched me into creating and living even more of the life of my dreams - including starting my own business and retiring from my 17-year career!

And I knew if my own personal experiment with being single and dating for self-discovery could create this kind of change and positive results in my own life, it could do the same for others.

So I did something inspired and from my heart: I created my first group coaching program.

Inviting Others to Their Own Single Experiment

The beginning of February 2017, with a circle of beautiful humans in my living room, I presented the Introduction to The Single Experiment and I invited people to come on the journey of their own single experiments.

People literally THREW their money at me.  Hundred dollar bills and credit cards poured into my lap.  

I laughed out loud as I gathered up and received the money.

It was happening!  The Single Experiment was officially launched and the program had its first handful of eager and excited participants.

For the next 6 weeks, those participants received the best of what I’d learned and discovered for myself during the previous five years.

They loved every minute of it, every exercise, every challenge, every group session, all the coaching, and the new experiences they were creating in dating and their other relationships.

Each of them loved the new relationship that was being created inside of them with their Self!

The first round of The Single Experiment was a heart-opening success and I offered it again!

Over the years, I made revisions and upgrades, streamlining the content each time I facilitated it.  

All of the participants have loved it.  Everyone experienced wonderful results inside of themselves and their relationships.

And for me, my own personal single experiment was the key that led me to the love of my life.

I was literally delivered to his front door on November 2, 2018. [That’s a story for another time…]

Life has never been the same - nor my experience of relationship.

We have continued to use the foundational principles of The Single Experiment (now called The One: Experiment) to co-create an epic and amazing relationship we are both delighted to be in.

Every day is filled with joy, deep connection, fulfilling sensuality, growth, ease, contentment, and the sweetest most amazing love.

Both of us knew this kind of relationship was possible, but we’d never seen it done, never witnessed others co-creating deep connected love.

We had to figure it out for ourselves, slowly.  And each of us is the key to our relationship success.
